Green Manufacturing And Recycled Shutters In Fort Myers

We offer window treatments that are recyclable or contain some recycled content in them because we believe in providing you with sustainable shutter products. Not only are Polywood® shutters a completely recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Fort Myers or even America that does that.

Sunburst supports green products, designs, and buildings. We show our commitment by reusing materials whenever it’s feasible. We recycle water that cools down items as they’re coming out of ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. We recycle hundreds of tons of materials every year.

When we package our window treatments to be transported to your home for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use the least amount of cardboard to pack up the shutters.

Non-Toxic Paint Finish For Shutters

The patented paint finishes we apply to your plantation shutters are environmentally safe – and are even below the standard volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions allowed. During our manufacturing method, none of our paints emit fumes. We mean it when we claim our paints aren’t toxic.

Polywood Shutters don’t emit dangerous gasses – so you and your family can breathe easier and savor your window treatments.

The Only Shutter Recycling Program in Fort Myers, FL

If you ever decide to switch out your window treatment styles, we have a shutter recycling program in Fort Myers to keep Polywood shutters out of landfills. What you have to do is simply take down the shutters yourself, and contact our store manager, Charlie and Brady, at 239-208-6577 to schedule a pick-up. We will take your shutters and reuse them in one form or another in future Polywood shutters. This applies to Polywood shutters only—we don’t offer recycling for other shutter brands.

This way, you can recycle Polywood shutters at no cost to you. And, together, we’re assisting in keeping the environment green in Fort Myers.
